Belly dance lessons always begin with a thorough warm - up, followed by gentle stretching to ensure there are no strained or pulled muscles.
Belly dancing is suitable for all ages. It is not high impact, so there is no undue pressure on joints. As you learn, you will find that your posture improves, so relieving lower back aches and pains that we all suffer with time, due to sitting and standing incorrectly. We all tend to hunch over!
Obviously, if you have existing health problems, it is advisable to consult your Doctor before taking up any new exercise programme.
Classes are designed for you to work at your own pace, the emphasis I place on my classes, is that the more relaxed and enjoyable an experience is, the more likely you are to want to continue. How many times have we all decided to join a Gym, only to become bored and want to give up?
